I hate when I'm driving somebody around and they talk to other people on their phone... like, family, parents, whatever fine, it's not like you'll be talking to them long.
I picked up a friend to go to lunch about half an hour away, and we were talking and then her phone rings and she proceeds to talk on the phone with him until we're walking out of the elevator of the parking garage! I wanted to just turn around and take her back home because she clearly wasn't interested in my company! She did the same thing in a group of four of us, which was SO AWKWARD because we all had to be quiet and pretend like we weren't listening and turn off our music. SO ANNOYING!
Then, I had a houseguest last weekend and all she did was talk on the phone to her boyfriend--I get that you miss him, but you're in LA for two days away from him and you need to talk to him every 15 minutes?? We were driving back from Disneyland and the whole time she had her phone on speaker, calling him. It went straight to voicemail, so she called him again and again and again. When he still didn't pick up, she called her dad to tell him to call her boyfriend and tell him that she was trying to call him. I was just like... why don't you just leave a voicemail and he'll get it when he turns his phone back on?? He could be in a movie for all you know.
So yeah. That's my rant.

that is very rude!! I have a friend who does that too constantly.
1Good rant! I hate it when people do that to me.
2If I'm with people and my cell phone rings, I answer but keep the convo short and sweet. Then, I apologize to the ppl I'm with. All of that is IF I even answer it.
I sometimes need to talk to someone when I'm with someone else, but usually I say that I'm with that other person and the convos are always short.

3I don't answer my phone with others unless I absolutely have to and even then its short and sweet. And I usually kind of laugh it off with the ppl I am with with a chuckle and a hey you guys ever.....
4Oh my gosh, one of my sisters is notorious for doing this. You get in the car with her, and she barely acknowledges you and continues her conversation. Loudly. I usually twiddle my thumbs, since it would be hard to fight fire with fire and make a call too--because I would not be able to hear myself!
5Wow, I have one friend that does that. My thought is if she is gonna be that rude I am gonna turn up my music in my car. My car my rulz. If she doesn't get the hint there is always my blunt attitude. ;~)
6I had a friend do that to me too. I was hanging out with her (oh and SHE was driving too) and she was talking to her boyfriend most of the time we were in the car. It's just so awkward.
Honestly, because of that - and how rude she was - I haven't had the urge to hang out with her since...that was a year go
7Sounds like the latter one had some attachment issues with her boyfriend.
